Mark: Hey friend, I'm talking to you right now. Gospel, salvation, people say them all the time, but what does Paul say he delivered 'first of all', Sarah?

Sarah: Paul wrote about it in a letter to the church in Corinth, reminding them of the Good News he'd preached. Here's what he said.

Scripture: For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

Mark: That's a lot packed into two verses. Can you put it in plain words for me? What does it actually mean?

Sarah: Paul says Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures. He was buried. He was raised on the third day.

Mark: Okay. But does Paul say anything more about it?

Sarah: He lists people Christ appeared to, according to him: Cephas, the twelve, over five hundred brothers at once, most of whom he says remain until now, then James, all the apostles, and finally Paul.

Mark: Okay, but it still feels far away. An old letter, written to people Paul had already preached to. What's it got to do with my ordinary week?

Sarah: Paul calls it Good News, something you receive and stand in. I need it too. That's why I'm telling you. I want you with me.

Mark: Honestly, that's kind of a relief. But I don't want anyone pushing me into something I'm not sure about.

Sarah: Nobody's pushing. Just try telling God honestly, I want to know you. And I'm here to talk whenever you like. I love you. Follow along for more.
