Questions to talk about
Word for word
Mark: I feel like I'd have to fix my life before God would want me.
Sarah: This one's for you, because I love you. Here's Ephesians 2:8-9.
Scripture: for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
Mark: Sounds too easy. Isn't there something I'm supposed to do first?
Sarah: Right before it, the letter says God loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses.
Mark: So it's really not about being good enough?
Sarah: No. I was lost too, and I still fall short. But Jesus died for me and was raised, and trusting him is how grace saves me.
Sarah: I want you with me in heaven forever. Whenever you're ready, tell God, I want to know you, and ask him about trusting Jesus.
